The NEBOSH General Certificate is a nationally recognised qualification that will provide a broad base of knowledge on which a basic level of competence can be developed. This course has been generally accepted by the health and safety profession as being the first step to a career in health and safety. Holders of the NEBOSH Certificate are eligible subject to post qualification experience for a grade of membership at the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, IOSH.

Duration of course:
DAY RELEASE
Start date for the next 12 day course delivered on a wednesday over 12 weeks will be 29th September 2010,finishing on 10th December 2010 with the exams.
Costs £1,050 plus VAT

BLOCK RELEASE
Start date for the Block Release course
1st week - 15th November 2010 to 19th November 2010.
2nd week - 29th November 2010 to 3rd December 2010.
Refresher training day 8th December with written exams on the 10th December 2010.
Costs £1,050 plus VAT


NEW REFRESHER / RESIT COURSE
In order to assist candidates who require to resit a written paper during the December 2010 NEBOSH Examination and wish to do so at the OMBA Training Centre please note they must attend the refresher training day on the 8th December as well as the examination day on 10th December 2010.
The costs include;
The examination fee.
A one day refresher tuition on the wednesday before the examination.
The provision of a buffet lunch and handouts on the refresher day.
The use of the Training Centre to facilitate the examination.

Any one of average intelligence or above who have a commitment to safety at work and prepared to study will have a realistic chance of qualifying.

Two written exams and one practical assignment
